Eric Foster: Director, Pr Eng, MEng (Transport), BEng Hons (Civ Eng):
Eric started his career in 1980 with the geometric design and construction of roads (initially provincial and then also municipal) and storm water drainage systems. During the last 25 years of his career, Eric has specialised and gained extensive experience in the transport & traffic engineering discipline. More recent experience also includes the management of development projects.


David Faure: Director, Pr Eng, MSc (Env Sc), BSc (Civ Eng):
During the last 20 years, David has gained experience in geometric design of urban roads & railway lines, traffic impact assessments and transportation planning. David also has a background in environmental science, although he is not currently practicing in the field.


James Marais: Director, Pr Tech, HND (Civil):
During the past 30 years, James has been involved in the design of services and site management of townships, project management and co-ordination of design and construction of all engineering services of low cost housing projects, contract management of construction of rural roads and public transport facilities as well as storm water and culvert design and transportation studies.


Theo la Grange: Director, Pr Eng, Pr CPM, BEng Hons (Civ Eng):
During the past 31 years, Theo has been involved in geometric and pavement design of rural, national and provincial roads. His experience also includes project management and coordination of design and construction of rural road projects. He has extensive on site experience as Resident Engineer on multi million rand provincial road projects and has recently also undertaken the HDM-4 economic evaluation for a major roads project.


Wilfred Crous: Consultant, Pr Eng, MSc(T &RP), BSc (Civ Eng):
Wilfred works as a specialist consultant for EFG Engineers (Pty) Ltd. During the last 20 years, Wilfred has gained experience in transport planning within the Cape Town Metropolitan Transport Area. During this period, he has also gained extensive experience in the use of the EMME/2 transport modelling platform. Being a former employee of the CSIR, Wilfred is also the author of various transportation publications.


Liesel Vogel: Senior Engineer, MSc Eng (Transportation), BEng (Civil):
Liesel Vogel is a specialist traffic and transportation engineer with over six years national and international experience. She is currently pursuing the ECSA requirements towards professional registration, specifically in the construction field. Her experience to date includes traffic impact studies, capacity analyses, access management, pavement design, traffic management and transport planning, training facilitation (SIDRA and Traffix), economic evaluation (HDM-4) and conceptual geometric design. Liesel is an Overseas Champion for the Chartered Institution of Highways & Transportation, UK.


Gideon Hahn: Senior Technician, BTech (Civil), ND (Survey):
From 1992 to 2000, Gideon was involved with the construction of rural roads and urban developments (including all services). The past 10 years, Gideon has been involved with the geometric design of rural and urban roads and the design of municipal services. Gideon has an extensive knowledge of Civil Designer and is seen as an expert in the road design aspect of the software. He won the Civil Designer 6.5 Beta Testing award in 2007 for the most feedback submitted during this phase.


Aloysius Horniman: Senior Technician, BTech (Civil):
Aloysius has 12 years experience in various aspects of civil engineering such as traffic and transportation, geometric (road and rail), municipal services and public transport infrastructure design and site supervision.  His most recent experience includes the geometric design of TR2/MR168 between the N2 and Polkadraai Road. This project includes both rehabiliation of the existing carriageway, as well planning for the future dualling of the road.


Werner van Rooyen: Technician, BTech (Civil):
Werner is permanently employed at EFG Engineers (Pty) Ltd since December 2008. He also completed his 12 months experiential learning programme at EFG Engineers in 2007. Werner works on projects in the specialist fields of geometric design and services design (water, storm water and sewerage) and he also designs intersection upgrades.



Andre Truter: Technical Assistant
Andre works on contract for EFG Engineers (Pty) Ltd. During the past 20 years he has been involved in the design of township services, bulk water supply, sewers and roads as well as waste disposal and landfill projects.
